• Account Information: When you register for ViteSnap, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password.
• User-Generated Content: We collect the photos of meals you upload to the app to analyze their nutritional content, as well as your historical log of scanned meals.
• Usage and Device Data: We automatically collect standard diagnostic data, such as your device type, operating system, IP address, and crash reports, to help us improve app performance.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To operate and maintain your ViteSnap account.
• To process the meal photos you upload and return AI-generated nutritional analysis.
• To provide you with a historical log of your dietary tracking.
• To communicate with you regarding security updates, account support, or policy changes.

3. Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal data. We share information with third parties only to provide our services:

• AI Analysis Providers: The photos you upload are processed by third-party artificial intelligence services to extract nutritional data.

4. Data Retention

ViteSnap retains your personal data (such as your email address) and app usage data (such as your meal scans and nutritional logs) only for as long as your account remains active. We keep this data to provide you with our core app functionality, including your historical meal tracking.

Active Accounts

Data is retained continuously while you maintain an active account.

Inactive Accounts

If you do not log into your account for a period of 24 months, we may automatically delete your account and associated data.

Legal Requirements

We may retain some anonymized data or transaction logs as required by law, for tax purposes, or to resolve disputes.

5. Data Deletion

You have the right to request the complete deletion of your personal data and ViteSnap account at any time.

How to request data deletion

• Inside the App: Open the ViteSnap app, navigate to Settings > Account, and tap "Delete Account".
• Via Web/Email: If you no longer have the app installed, you can request data deletion by emailing us at support@vitesnap.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" from the email address associated with your account.

What happens when you request deletion

Upon receiving your request, we will permanently delete your email address, password, and all uploaded meal scan histories from our active servers within 14 days.

6. Security

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

ViteSnap does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will delete it immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
